Tracey Ullman - Live and Exposed

Tracey Ullman is a British-born, comedienne, actress, singer, dancer, screenwriter, and author, who is most famous for being the host of her eponymous variety television show from 1987 until 1990.

Her early appearances were on such British TV sketch comedy shows as A Kick Up the Eighties (with Rik Mayall) and Three of a Kind (with Lenny Henry and David Copperfield). She emigrated to the U.S. and ended up having her own network television series, The Tracey Ullman Show, from which The Simpsons was spun off in 1989. She later found even greater success producing programs for HBO, including Tracey Takes On..., for which she has won numerous awards. She has also appeared in many feature films. She is currently about to star in her newest sketch-comedy creation, Tracey Ullman's State of the Union, for Showtime, in 2008.

Tracey Ullman - Live and Exposed is her all-new autobiographical show that traces her childhood, early career in dancing, acting and music, and rise to stardom on television and films. Featuring Ullman portraying both herself through the years as well as several of the memorable characters she invented on her acclaimed HBO series Tracey Takes On..., the special was taped before a live audience at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles - a rare onstage performance for this talented and beloved comedic chameleon. You can purchase Tracey Ullman - Live and Exposed from Amazon for $14.99

This is a must-have DVD if you're even a casual fan of Tracey Ullman. Just the fact that she's able to pull off a stand-up act of this type proves her comedic talent. Her act is divided into 10 segments: Show In Mommy's Bedroom, Girl With the Star, The Dancing Years, A Little Variety, The Music Thing, Dinner in New York, Married To Hollywood, The Tracey Show, Talking Heads, and The Big Realization. All of these segments represent a period in her life which she feels helped define her both as a person and also as a comedian.

How to Tie a Tie

It was Oscar Wilde who said, "A well-tied tie is the first serious step in life". For most young men learning how to tie a tie was a rushed process in which a frustrated father tried to teach his son moments before a formal event, as mother stood by the door cajoling "come on honey we re going to be late".

The How to Tie a Tie Video is a pleasant departure from this common early experience. The teacher in this case is a series of easy to follow DVD chapters that the aspiring student can watch on his or her own time. The lessons are clear, simple and straight to the point. The four major knots, the Windsor Knot, Half Windsor, Four-in-Hand Knot and the great but largely unknown Pratt Knot are included as is the Bow Tie.
